It is always wise to turn off all unnecessary lights and remember that an energy saving lamp is a environmentally friendly alternative for an incandescent lamp. You’ll get more light in your life!

Setting the room temperature to 20-21 degrees will help you stay healthy and energetic. 18 degrees is enough for the bedroom and will help you sleep better as well.
It is also a good idea to pull down the curtains and shut the blinds at nights in wintertime to reduce heat loss and to guard yourself against nosy neighbours.
- Vehicles
Arrange a carpool when you need a ride to a hobby. You will save the environment and have more fun!
- Other
The mobile phone charger uses electricity even when you are not charging your phone. Be brave and unplug the cord when you have finished charging.
Your mobile phone likes to be turned off regularly– actually it needs it. What is more, the battery will last longer this way.
Please use rechargeable batteries in mp3 players and other appliances. This is cheaper and produces less problem waste.
A garden lamp helps to create the atmosphere, but there is no sense in having it on all night. Buy a timer or a motion detector.

Turn off the TV, computer and other appliances instead of leaving them on stand by which uses almost as much energy as when the appliance is being used. No more will you have to wonder at excessive electricity bills.
Those with a brand new flat screen TV are not able to turn off the power from their TV set. No panic! Find an extension cord with a switch. Now you can plug in all your appliances and turn them all off with the switch on the branch box.

When it is time to do the laundry, pick up the whole family’s laundry to fill the machine. You will save electricity and water - and bring joy to your family.

There is a limit to the amount of energy in the world. Wasting energy shows in your purse and the entire environment. We all can have influence on energy use. It is simply a question of making everyday choices.
Take a minute to think about which of the home appliances are really necessary. Use your hands to squeeze an orange. You will get energy by saving energy! Does everyone in the family really need a TV of their own? Watch it together, comparing your favourite shows. Spending time together produces energy and saves energy.
